    Introduction <\/h5>\n\n\n\n

    This module covers some of the major equipment used in operating rooms. Each hospital has different equipment, so this module provides an overview of the basic functionality of equipment including electrosurgical units, lasers, microscopes, pneumatic tourniquets, and radiation safety. Perioperative nurses must train on hospital-specific units and devices before using them and must adhere to hospital policies and procedures when using specialty equipment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
